About Ryan O. Jones
Ryan O. Jones was born on April 2, 1975 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The day Ryan was born there was a snow storm that made it impossible for the doctors and nurses to go home that night. The nurses were so entertaining, telling his mom and her roommate “there is such a variety of babies in the nursery – one white, one black, one girl, one boy, one big, one little.” Ryan’s mom had the big black 10 lb., 2 oz. boy and her roommate had the little 6 pound (I think) white girl. Ryan was the only one of his mom’s children born to at South Suburban Hospital; his siblings were born at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Ironically, he was pronounced dead at South Suburban Hospital (where he was born) on May 10, 2016.
Ryan’s immediate family started The Ryan Jones Foundation to assist young graduating high school students in pursuit of furthering their education/or trade and to assure Ryan’s legacy lives on with a positive purpose.
